Bhopal Metro Orange Line is Bhoj Metro's first and, so far, only operational corridor, running 6.22 km between AIIMS and Subhash Nagar across 8 stations. Operated by the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (MPMRC), it opened for commercial service on 21 December 2025, becoming Bhopal's first metro line.
The line runs between AIIMS, Bhopal's hospital and medical education campus, and Subhash Nagar in the north, passing through Alkapuri, DRM Office, Rani Kamalapati Railway Station — connecting to Indian Railways services — Board Office Chauraha, MP Nagar, and Kendriya Vidyalaya along the way. The Orange Line does not yet have an interchange station; Bhopal Metro's planned Green Line, still under construction, will give the network its first cross-line transfer once it opens.
Peak-hour trains on the Orange Line run every 10 to 15 minutes, daily between about 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Fare ranges from around ₹20 for the shortest hops to ₹40 for the full 6.22 km corridor, with QR-code and smart-card ticketing available through a DMRC-supported automatic fare collection system, alongside single-journey tickets at station counters. MetroYatra provides station-wise train timings, Orange Line metro fare, platform details, and route map for all 8 stations.
