Lucknow Metro Red Line is the city's first and, so far, only operational metro corridor, run by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) between CCS Airport and Munshipulia over 21 stations and 22.87 km.
The line runs from Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) International Airport through Amausi, Transport Nagar, and Alambagh to Charbagh railway station, then through the government and commercial core at Hussainganj, Sachivalaya, and Hazratganj, past Lucknow University at Vishwavidyalaya and IT College, and on through Badshah Nagar and Indira Nagar to terminate at Munshipulia. The Red Line does not yet have an interchange station; the upcoming Blue Line will connect at Charbagh once it opens, targeted for June 2027.
Lucknow Metro Red Line trains run daily with a peak-hour frequency of a few minutes. Fare ranges from about ₹10 to ₹60, with the GoSmart Card giving a 10% discount. MetroYatra provides station-wise train timings, Red Line metro fare, platform details, and route map for all 21 stations.
