Hyderabad Metro Green Line Extension: Old City Corridor Affected Properties Cut From 1,100 To 900
Hyderabad Airport Metro Ltd (HAML) has reduced the number of properties affected by the Green Line's 7.5 km MGBS-Chandrayangutta extension in the Old City from an estimated 1,100 to about 900, HAML Managing Director NVS Reddy said in early August 2025, through engineering redesign of the corridor. Compensation awards have been issued for 412 properties and 380 demolished, with Rs 360 crore disbursed so far. The 7.5 km corridor, part of Hyderabad Metro Phase 2, will add 6 stations linking Old City landmarks to the existing Green Line.
