Hyderabad Metro is Telangana's rapid transit network, built and operated under a public-private partnership by L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (L&TMRHL) — one of the largest metro PPP projects in the world by investment. The network runs 59 Hyderabad Metro stations across 3 colour-coded lines — Blue, Green, and Red — spanning about 67 km of mostly elevated track through the city, with trains running in 3-coach sets.
The Red Line (Miyapur–LB Nagar, 27 stations) and Blue Line (Nagole–Raidurg, 23 stations) cross the network's main hub, Ameerpet, while the short Green Line (JBS Parade Ground–MG Bus Station, 10 stations) links the old city to Secunderabad via Parade Ground (interchange with the Blue Line) and MG Bus Station (interchange with the Red Line). Together the three lines connect Hyderabad's HITEC City and Madhapur IT corridor, the historic Charminar-adjacent old city around MG Bus Station, the Secunderabad railway hub, and the Assembly and government district around Khairtabad.
Hyderabad Metro fare is calculated on a distance-slab basis, with a rechargeable smart card accepted at all stations for faster, discounted travel over QR-code single-journey tickets bought at station counters or vending machines.
