Mumbai Metro Line 9 Opens First Phase: Dahisar East to Kashigaon Corridor Inaugurated, April 2026
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the first phase of Mumbai Metro Line 9 on April 7, 2026. The elevated stretch, approximately 5 km long, connects Dahisar East to Kashigaon in Mira Road through four stations: Dahisar East, Pandurang Wadi, Mira Gaon and Kashigaon. This is the first direct metro link between Mumbai's northern suburbs and the Mira-Bhayander region, and Line 9 will run as an integrated corridor with Line 7, enabling direct travel between Andheri East and Mira-Bhayander.
