Ahmedabad Metro Blue Line runs between Thaltej Gam and Vastral Gam on the city's East-West corridor, covering 18 stations across 21.23 km. The line opened in stages - the first 6.5 km segment from Vastral Gam to Apparel Park began service on 6 March 2019, most of the remaining corridor opened on 30 September 2022, and the final Thaltej Gam extension was completed on 8 December 2024, completing the East-West corridor after a five-year phased rollout.
The Blue Line runs west to east from Thaltej Gam through Thaltej, Doordarshan Kendra, Gujarat University, Commerce Six Road, and SP Stadium, continuing into the old city at Shahpur, Gheekanta, and Kalupur Railway Station before passing Kankaria East, Amraiwadi, Rabari Colony, and Vastral en route to Vastral Gam. Old High Court station is the interchange with the Red Line, connecting the East-West corridor to Ahmedabad's North-South line. The entire 21.23 km Blue Line is elevated and operates within Ahmedabad city limits, linking the city's western residential belt to its eastern industrial and old-city commercial areas.
Peak-hour trains on the Blue Line run at approximately 10-12 minute intervals with 3-coach formations, and the GMRC Smart Card and NCMC are accepted at all stations. MetroYatra provides station-wise train timings, Ahmedabad Metro Blue Line metro fare, platform details, and a Blue Line route map for all 18 stations.
