How far can one metro ticket take you in India? We looked at every rank-1 route in every network and pulled out the longest possible journey. Delhi leads by a distance — a 79.3 km end-to-end trip that takes 3 Hours 2 Minutes and 4 interchanges.
Measured a different way — by single line rather than by journey — the longest is the Delhi–Meerut RRTS at 82.15 km, though it has just 15 stations because it's a fast regional service rather than an inner-city metro.
