Delhi Metro Magenta Line — officially Line 8 — runs 36.46 km from Krishna Park Extension in West Delhi to Botanical Garden in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with 26 stations. The Magenta Line is an important cross-diagonal corridor that connects West Delhi, South Delhi, and East Delhi in a single ride, also crossing into Noida at its eastern terminus. The line opened in phases between 2017 and 2018 and includes India's first driverless metro section.
From Krishna Park Extension, the Magenta Line runs through Janakpuri West, Dashrathpuri, Palam, Saket, Sheikh Sarai, Hauz Khas, Chirag Delhi, Khanpur, Okhla, Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh, Kalindi Kunj, and Okhla Bird Sanctuary before reaching Botanical Garden in Noida. Key interchange stations are: Hauz Khas (Yellow Line), Kalkaji Mandir (Violet Line), and Botanical Garden (Blue Line). The Hauz Khas interchange connects the Magenta Line directly to the Yellow Line's South Delhi–Gurugram corridor. Botanical Garden provides onward access to the Blue Line towards Noida Electronic City.
Peak-hour frequency is 5–8 minutes. The Magenta Line operates with 6-coach trainsets including driverless technology on parts of the route.
