Delhi Metro Pink Line: Ghaziabad Seeks DPR For 16-KM Vaishali-Gokulpuri Link Via Hindon Airport
The Ghaziabad Development Authority has asked DMRC to prepare a Detailed Project Report for a proposed 16-km metro corridor connecting Vaishali, the Blue Line's current terminus, to Gokulpuri on the Pink Line. The route would run via Sahibabad, Mohan Nagar, Pasunda and Hindon Civil Terminal, giving the terminal its first-ever metro access, with around seven stations expected. GDA officials said the extended alignment is meant to serve the growing populations of Indirapuram, Vasundhara and Vaishali. Funding remains a hurdle: this and two related Ghaziabad corridors together carry an estimated combined cost of about Rs 7,500 crore.
