Delhi Metro Yellow Line Now Runs Every 3 Minutes During Peak Hours, Highest Frequency on Any DMRC Corridor
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) introduced 3-minute peak-hour train frequency on the Yellow Line (Line 2, Samaypur Badli–HUDA City Centre) in September 2025, making it the highest-frequency corridor on the network. The 49.3 km line with 37 stations now runs a train every 3 minutes during morning (8–10 AM) and evening (5–8 PM) rush hours. The Yellow Line is Delhi Metro's busiest corridor, connecting North Delhi (Samaypur Badli, Jahangirpuri, Azadpur) through Central Delhi (Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk) to Gurugram (HUDA City Centre). With daily ridership exceeding 10 lakh passengers, the higher frequency reduces crowding on platforms and reduces average wait times from 4.5 to 3 minutes.
