Delhi Metro Red Line – Stations, Route Map & Timings

Delhi Metro Red Line — officially Line 1 — is the oldest corridor in the Delhi Metro network and the first metro line to be inaugurated in India. Opened in December 2002 with the Shahdara–Tis Hazari section, the Red Line now runs 33.48 km from Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) in the northeast to Rithala in the Rohini sector of northwest Delhi, serving 29 stations. The eastern end of the line extends into the Ghaziabad border area, making it one of the few DMRC corridors with cross-city reach on the northeast side.

The Red Line travels southwest through Dilshad Garden, Shahdara, Seelampur, Shastri Park, and Kashmere Gate before turning northwest through Inderlok, Kanhaiya Nagar, Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura, and multiple Rohini sectors to Rithala. Key interchange stations are: Kashmere Gate (Yellow Line and Violet Line — Delhi Metro's largest interchange hub), Inderlok (Green Line), Netaji Subhash Place (Pink Line), and Shastri Park (Pink Line). Kashmere Gate allows direct transfer to three additional lines from a single station.
