Delhi Metro Violet Line — officially Line 6 — runs 45 km from Kashmere Gate in Central Delhi to Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) in Faridabad, Haryana, covering 34 stations. The Violet Line is the only Delhi Metro corridor serving Faridabad, making it the primary rapid transit connection for one of the most populous cities in the NCR. The line opened in phases between 2010 and 2015, with the Faridabad and Ballabhgarh extensions completing in 2015.
From Kashmere Gate, the Violet Line runs south through ITO, Delhi Gate, Janpath, Central Secretariat, Khan Market, Nehru Place, Kalkaji Mandir, and Lajpat Nagar before crossing into Faridabad via Escorts Mujesar, Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, and Bata Chowk, terminating at Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh. Key interchange stations are: Kashmere Gate (Red Line and Yellow Line — the network's largest interchange hub), Central Secretariat (Yellow Line), Lajpat Nagar (Pink Line), and Kalkaji Mandir (Magenta Line). The Violet Line also serves Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station locality.
