Each metro network (DMRC, MMRC, NMRC, etc.) sets its own fare slab, so fares differ from city to city even for similar distances. Most Indian metro systems operate from approximately 5:00 AM to 11:00–11:30 PM, though exact first and last train timings vary by city, line, and station. Delhi Metro, for example, runs its first services around 5:00 AM and last services around 11:30 PM. An interchange station is a point in the metro network where two or more lines meet — allowing you to switch from one line to another without exiting the station and re-purchasing a ticket. When MetroYatra shows a route with an interchange, it also shows which platform to use and which direction to board, so you can navigate the station confidently even on your first visit. Common major interchanges include Rajiv Chowk (Delhi), Kalkaji Mandir (Delhi), and Botanical Garden (Delhi/Noida).
