Pune Metro is Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation's (MahaMetro) rapid transit system for Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The network runs 29 Pune Metro stations across 2 colour-coded lines — the Purple Line and Aqua Line — spanning about 31.25 km, with trains running daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
The Purple Line (PCMC Bhavan–Swargate, 14 stations) runs north-south through Pimpri-Chinchwad and central Pune, while the Aqua Line (Vanaz–Ramwadi, 16 stations) runs east-west, meeting at District Court Pune, the network's sole interchange. Together the two lines connect Pune Railway Station, Shivaji Nagar, and the old city core around Mahatma Phule Mandai and Swargate. A third line, Line 3 (Hinjewadi–Shivajinagar, 23 stations, built under a public-private partnership), was in final safety-clearance trials in mid-2026 after several delayed launch targets, and was not yet open to the public.
Pune Metro fare is calculated on a distance-slab basis, with a rechargeable smart card accepted at all stations for faster, discounted travel over QR-code single-journey tickets. For travel assistance, the MahaMetro Pune helpline is 1800-270-5501. MetroYatra provides station-wise Pune Metro train timings, route map, fare calculator, and platform details for all 29 stations.
