Agra Metro currently has one operational line, the Yellow Line, running 6 stations between Taj East Gate and Mankameshwar Mandir. A second line, the Blue Line (Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar, 15 stations), is under construction, along with the rest of the Yellow Line up to Sikandra.

Agra Metro trains run daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with trains roughly every 7 to 10 minutes during peak hours on the operational Yellow Line.

Agra Metro fare is distance-based, starting at around ₹10 and going up to about ₹45 for the full operational Yellow Line stretch. Smart Card users get a discount over token or counter-ticket fares.

Tickets can be bought at station ticket counters, ticket vending machines, or the Agra Metro app. A Smart Card can be purchased and recharged at any station counter for faster, discounted entry.

Yes. Agra Metro issues a rechargeable UPMRC Smart Card that works across all operational stations and gives a fare discount compared to token tickets.

Limited personal luggage is allowed on Agra Metro, subject to security screening at entry. Oversized, hazardous, or restricted items are not permitted.

Yes. Get off at Dr. Ambedkar Chowk (Agra Fort) station on the Yellow Line, within walking distance of the fort's main entry gate. The ride from Taj Mahal station takes just a few minutes, making it easy to cover both UNESCO sites in one day.

Not yet. Agra Cantt is part of the planned Blue Line, which is still under construction. Travelers arriving at Agra Cantt railway station currently need an auto, cab, or bus to reach the nearest operational metro station (Mankameshwar Mandir or Taj Mahal).

Yes. Agra Metro accepts the NCMC RuPay On-The-Go card, which gives a 10% discount on every journey, the same as the regular Smart Card.
